eMarketing Special Interest Group (SIG)

Thanks to You, the Social Media Marketing Workshops Were a Success!

With approximatly 150 attendees combined at either the business session or nonprofit session of Mapping Out Your Social Media Marketing Strategy, it was obvious that social media marketing is an in-demand topic in the e-marketing landscape. Though their skill-level and knowledge regarding social media varied widely, all the attendees left with new social media knowledge, resources, ideas or a plan of attack for their business or organization.

Key Takeaways:

  • To begin, focus on one social media element
  • Your customers and constituents are already talking - social media lets you join the conversation
  • Social media is still fairly new, so take time to explore, experiment with and engage in various social media channels

We owe a great deal of thanks to Brian Amick from Werkbot Studios, who donated his time and energy to creating the new logo and flash header and to Oto Hlincik from newline Creations, for hosting the site. Thanks also to Jodi Herman, who worked on script development and video recording. Frank Lauria and Courtney Kaplin for their involvement.
